Cruise Description 21 Night Cruise sailing from Athens to Rome aboard Crystal Symphony.

Bookended by two behemoth Mediterranean ports, this voyage showcases a region that was born to sparkle. Sailing from Athens, you’ll go first to Nafplion and Crete before a sea day brings you to Italy's Bari. Montenegro’s Kotor, and its stunning seascapes, is next, before an overnight in Dubrovnik for some Game of Thrones glamour. Sail on for three days in stunning Venice, allowing ample opportunity to visit the city after the day trippers have gone. Heading south you’ll sail back through Croatia, then turn east to Corfu. A sea day brings you to an Italian finale with Lipari, an overnight in Sorrento, Amalfi, and Rome.

Highlights of this cruise:

Athens
Experience the vibrant and historic port of Piraeus, Athens' gateway to the Aegean islands and beyond, and find a rich maritime heritage, a bustling local culture, and access to the wonders of Athens. Venture through Greece’s largest port city, Piraeus, as you make your way to the cradle of Western culture and the birthplace of democracy. Athens, among the world's oldest cities with a history spanning 3,400 years, has long been the location of myth and muse, and its ancient heritage is still an incredible source of inspiration. Here, the Acropolis crowns the city as home to the Parthenon and other legendary temples and monuments.

Bari
In the Italian seaside city of Bari, you will find picturesque streets, curious shops and incredible cuisine, including a wide selection of delectable wines. Get lost in the maze-like streets of its old town to admire enchanting monuments and sample its homemade dishes, including delicious fresh pasta at Via dell’Arco Basso.

Venice
One of the world`s most enchanting cities, Venice is comprised of more than 100 separate islands and a labyrinthine of canals laced together by a string of 400 intricate bridges. A whimsical stroll through the city leads to a hidden world of ornately decorated piazzas and a legacy of Baroque architecture. Admire the richness of St. Mark`s Basilica and the lavishness of the Palazzo Ducale.

Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is one of the most recognizable cities in Europe. Behind the walls, find sleek Venetian-style buildings and a rich Slavic culture. Home to lavender, olive oil, and gorgeous beaches, Dubrovnik will leave a lasting impression on all your senses.

Sorrento
Famous for its stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the nearby island of Capri, its vibrant cultural and culinary scene, and its convenient and beautiful location as a starting point for exploring the stunning Amalfi Coast, Sorrento surely has a lot to offer the happy traveler who finds themselves here. The views are legendary; the town`s cliffside position offers spectacular vistas that have captivated visitors for centuries while the food is off the scale delicious. Sorrento`s culinary offerings are a delightful journey through the flavors of the Amalfi Coast, where freshness and simplicity define the cuisine, allowing the region`s high-quality ingredients - and culinary creative talent - to shine. If you can tear yourself away from the restaurants, cafes and gelatarias, then take a stroll through the pretty streets. Sorrento`s history spans centuries of civilization and cultural influence, with origins tracing back to the ancient Greeks, and layers of Roman, medieval, and Renaissance influence wocen into the tapestry of daily life.

Rome
Discover the charming port town of Civitavecchia, the gateway to Rome and the treasures of the Eternal City. Venture through Civitavecchia, noted for its fine seafood and beautiful monuments.
